- Research is being undertaken by Enventure Research on behalf of the London Borough of Barnet Council
- We want to speak to a range of parents and carers, particularly those that are unsure about childhood immunisations and have not had their child vaccinated
- There are several routine immunisations that are offered to children before they start school to help protect them from serious childhood diseases
- We are looking for open and honest feedback from parents and carers – we will not make anyone sign up for their child to have a vaccine
- Enventure Research is independent to Barnet Council – No personal details of those participating in the research will be given to Barnet Council
- We are currently recruiting parents and carers with children five years and younger, or with children that are in primary school (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2), who live in Barnet
- Parents and carers will take part in a focus group or short one-to-one interview
- Focus groups will be online and last one hour
- Everyone that participates will remain anonymous.
- Interviews will be on the telephone or online and last up to 30 minutes
- Each person participating will receive a £30 online shopping voucher (also redeemable in store at some shops such as Tesco and Morrisons)
- Focus groups and one-to-one interviews will be held Monday 13 June – Wednesday 29 June 2022
- Registration does not guarantee that you will be invited to participate in the research
Why is this research taking place?
- Immunisations are given for Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, polio, measles, mumps and rubella
- Not all parents and carers choose to have some or all immunisations for their child or children
- Take up of some immunisation vaccines is low and we want to find out why
- We want to speak to a range of parents and carers to hear their views on childhood immunisations
