Enventure Research to deliver Children’s Centre consultation in Derby

Jan 29, 2016

Enventure Research has been commissioned to deliver a public consultation on behalf of Derby City Council (DCC) regarding the future of its Children’s Centres.

In comparison with other local authorities across the country, DCC needs to explore options for making savings by delivering some of its services differently. Derby’s Big Conversation is a partnership between public, private, voluntary and faith organisations which aims to ensure all of its residents have the opportunity to influence the difficult decisions to be made. As part of its Big Conversation, the Council is consulting with residents about its proposals for changes to Children’s Centres, helping to ensure that it is delivering services as efficiently as possible.

In partnership with DCC, Enventure Research will design a questionnaire to explore Derby residents’ opinions about the proposed changes to the Children’s Centre service. The questionnaire will be made available for completion online and promoted via the Council’s website, social media channels and other communications. Paper versions of the questionnaire will also be made available in Children’s Centres across the region. A series of focus groups will be held with a small selection of Derby residents to add further insight to the questionnaire responses.

Enventure Research will process all data collected from the consultation and provide DCC with a detailed report on the consultation findings to feed into the Council’s strategic review.
