Amber Valley Borough Council appointed Enventure to carry out a public engagement campaign in areas where it felt its kerbside recycling services were under-used, with the aim of making residents better informed about the service, encouraging more householders to participate and reducing contamination levels.
Enventure provided a dedicated team of recycling advisors who were local and knew the area. Over the course of three weeks, the recycling advisors visited 2,150 households and spoke with 1,133 residents, providing information, answering queries and obtaining feedback and opinions using Computer Aided Personal Interview (CAPI) equipment.
Enventure’s specially trained team actively promoted the recycling service and provided feedback on residents’ awareness of the service and reasons for not participating. From residents feedback, suggestions for where improvements to the service might be made were also provided.
“Efficient service provided. All work dealt with efficiently.”
Theresa Barnes, Waste Recycling Officer, Amber Valley District Council
