Town & Country Planning Association – Public Perceptions Research

The Project

  • The Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA) in partnership with the Ramblers commissioned Enventure Research gain insight into public attitudes towards walking in parks and green spaces
  • Aimed to understand why people chose to walk in parks and green spaces, what might discourage them from doing so, and what changes could be made to their local parks to encourage them to walk in them more

 

Research Methods

  • Enventure Research delivered an online survey of 1,000 members of the public
  • Quick five minute questionnaire designed in partnership with the TCPA, accessible on all devices
  • Quotas set on gender, age, socio-economic group and UK region to ensure a representative sample was achieved

 

Outcomes

  • Analysis of the data collected by subgroup to explore any significant statistical differences
  • Production of data tables including cross-breaks by key demographics
  • Production of two-page summary infographic to present key survey results
