Understanding residents’ environmental priorities – Enterprise plc

Enterprise plc wanted to understand residents’ views, opinions and priorities on environmental issues such as graffiti, street cleansing & litter, and waste & recycling collections in order for it to tailor its services and approach in its bid for managing environmental services on behalf of Sandwell Council.


Research Methods

Our team of trained interviewers carried out on-street surveys in six towns in the Sandwell area. Enventure developed the questionnaire, managed the fieldwork and processed the data from the surveys.



Through the research, Enventure gathered residents’ opinions, attitudes and priorities on a range of environmental issues including flyposting, detritus, graffiti, litter, recycling and waste collections.  Levels of current satisfaction with services were also measured and feedback given on where local people felt improvements could be made.


Benefits to Client

Enterprise plc gained valuable insight into how the residents of Sandwell viewed environmental services in the area, which helped inform their bid.
