Exploring media training demand for Leeds Trinity University

May 12, 2017

Leeds Trinity University has recently employed Enventure Research to conduct research to help identify media training demand for its School of Arts of Communication.

The School of Arts and Communication wishes to upgrade, redesign and refine its Continued Professional Development (CPD) provision in media training and promote it with the most appropriate clients within the region. It therefore needs to determine the local demand for CPD in the field of traditional and new (including social) media training from organisations in the public, third and SME sectors.

Enventure Research will conduct a series of 30 semi-structured telephone interviews with senior managers of relevant organisations. Working with the School of Arts and Communication, Enventure Research will design a questionnaire for use in the telephone interviews to gather information on current and future needs for media training and online PR management, gaps in the current training offer, and the most suitable marketing materials and delivery methods.

The interviews will be carried out by Enventure Research’s experienced research staff, who will then undertake thematic analysis in order to identify the main emerging patterns and themes. The findings will allow the University to develop a suitable marketing strategy and put together a comprehensive CPD offer.
