At the beginning of 2020, Enventure Research was commissioned by the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) to deliver its 2020 membership survey. After working with the RCS to develop and test the questionnaire, the research was placed on hold due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the surgical profession.
However, we are pleased to be picking this project up again with the RCS, aiming to launch the survey in October. The questionnaire will be reviewed to take into account the impact of the pandemic and ensure that questions are asked to reflect the challenges it has posed for surgeons. The survey will be delivered online to the entire RCS membership around the world – approximately 25,000 members. Following the survey, a programme of qualitative research in the form of in depth interviews will be delivered to explore perceptions and experiences in greater depth.
