Developing a vision consultation for Sandwell Borough Council

Feb 6, 2017

Enventure Research has been appointed by Sandwell Borough Council to undertake a consultation with residents across the Borough concerning its new vision for Sandwell in 2030. The Senior Management Board and Cabinet members have recently agreed a draft set of ambitions to form the basis of consultation and engagement with the local community, including residents, employees and Council partners.

A series of consultation questions have been developed based on these ambitions, with the aim of refining the vision for Sandwell. The Council has been engaging in conversations within its community and stakeholder networks and wishes to consult further with its residents. Enventure Research will therefore undertake an on-street survey with residents across the six towns in the Borough.

Enventure Research’s experienced team of trained market research interviewers will undertake the survey at a number of locations and at different times of the week and day to ensure representation. A minimum of 900 interviews will be completed (with at least 150 responses in each of the six towns). Residents’ responses will be recorded using Computer Aided Personal Interviewing (CAPI) devices. The face-to-face interviews will allow the gathering of views of a wide range of the general public, providing statistically reliable, representative and valid results.
