Training of Volunteers in Doorstep Engagement and Surveys

Aug 13, 2013

Enventure Research has been commissioned by Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority (GMWDA) to provide a series of training sessions with volunteers to equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct doorstep engagement and face-to-face doorstep surveys.

The training forms part of GMWDA’s ‘Up and Forward’ project funded by the EU LIFE+ financial instrument, to show how communication activities can improve waste prevention and recycling in low performing urban areas. The project involves 12 communication campaigns based around four key themes of 1) deprivation, 2) transience, youth and students, 3) different cultures and 4) high density housing.

Over the duration of the project, Enventure Research will deliver a total of 34 training sessions with volunteers, ensuring they have the right knowledge, understanding, skills and confidence to engage with the general public about waste and recycling issues and collect useful and accurate data.
